Design Approach

The continual drive to expand and test my abilities as a designer, combined with an interest in tech, led me to UX over five years ago.

With an extensive background in apparel design and manufacturing, I bring a unique perspective to UX. My approach to problem-solving mirrors the garment-making process: designing efficiently with minimal waste, ensuring every piece fits together seamlessly as part of a cohesive whole.

Collaboration is central to my work and I thrive when partnering with others - whether designers or cross-functional teams like product, developers, engineers and accessibility. While the best designs emerge from diverse perspectives and teamwork, I’m also a self-starter who works effectively on my own. My ultimate goal is to create thoughtful, impactful design solutions that enhance daily interactions and improve how people experience the products in their lives.

About

In my previous life, I was a clothing designer, launching mass-market product lines for major retailers in NYC, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. It was there that I first learned and applied the principles of Design Thinking to product development. After earning my B.F.A. in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City, I continued my journey at Flatiron School in Chicago, where I obtained my certificate in UX.
